Reseda is a residential neighborhood in the west San Fernando Valley, part of the City of Los Angeles. Most of it is single-story houses from the 1950s on quiet grid streets, with the commercial strips on Sherman Way, Reseda Blvd, Vanowen St and Victory Blvd. It sits between Tarzana and Encino to the south, Northridge to the north, and Winnetka and Canoga Park to the west, which is why people here describe it as "fifteen minutes from everything in the Valley."

The block around 19422 Archwood St is just west of Tampa Ave between Victory Blvd and Vanowen St. The 101 freeway is about five minutes south, the 405 about ten minutes east, and the Metro G Line busway runs along Oxnard St a few blocks south with a station at Tampa Ave.

By car: Tampa Ave is the quickest way to the 101 (Tampa exit) and Victory Blvd runs straight east to Van Nuys and west to Warner Center. Rush hour on the 101 toward Hollywood and Downtown is the one real time cost, so the commute times below show both light traffic and weekday peak.

Without a car: the Metro G Line (Orange Line) busway at Tampa station connects to the B Line (Red Line) subway at North Hollywood in about 25 minutes, and to Chatsworth and the Metrolink in the other direction. Metro buses on Tampa, Victory, Vanowen and Sherman Way cover the rest of the Valley. The G Line has a bike path alongside it for the whole route.

Reseda Park (Victory Blvd at Reseda Blvd, 4 minutes) has a lake, a pool, tennis courts and a recreation center. Lake Balboa / Anthony C. Beilenson Park (7 minutes) is the big one: a 27-acre lake with a paved loop, playgrounds and the cherry trees that bloom in March. It's part of the Sepulveda Basin, which also has the Japanese garden, the wildlife reserve, golf courses, cricket and soccer fields and the bike path that runs down to the Orange Line. Tarzana Recreation Center and Winnetka Recreation Center are each about 6 minutes away.

Reseda Park (Victory Blvd y Reseda Blvd, 4 minutos) tiene lago, alberca, canchas de tenis y centro recreativo. Lake Balboa / Anthony C. Day-to-day shopping is on Victory Blvd and Vanowen St within a few minutes: Vons, Vallarta, Food 4 Less and Grocery Outlet for groceries, plus Target and Home Depot on Victory in Woodland Hills. Westfield Topanga and The Village in Warner Center (12 minutes) is the full mall, and Ventura Blvd in Tarzana and Encino (8–10 minutes) has Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Gelson's and most of the Valley's restaurants.
